ACWA ROBOTICS

History

ACWA Robotics is a project that came from recognizing a critical situation in the world of water, and our desire to disrupt the current state of affairs.

The idea for the project was born in Jean-François Rossi's mind in 2017, from his professional experience which led him to work with specialists in the world of water and to discover the 2012 leakage decree. Joined by Jean-François Guiderdoni in 2018, together with René Amoretti and Raphael Rossi, they developed the first proofs of concept for the solution.

In 2019, the team wins the Ilab and I-Nov innovation competitions, enabling them to develop a first working prototype. A second office is opened in Aix-en-Provence, and a strategic partnership is signed with Société du Canal de Provence. At the end of 2020, the company raises its first €1.8 million, and a second €4.8 million in early 2024. In 2023, Acwa Robotics wins 3 awards at CES in Las Vegas.

With its 17-strong team, the company is currently conducting experiments at the Société du Canal de Provence laboratory in Les Milles, near Aix-en-Provence.

In the near future, Acwa will be carrying out its first pilot mission with a water utility!
